Bees suffer Hit and Run job

If you don’t take your chances when dominating a game there is a chance you will get beaten. Braishfield Bees U11 suffered this punishing lesson at the hands of Lyndhurst, a team below them in the league. From the start Bees dominated proceedings and carved some glorious chances. Firstly Matty Hill shot wide when clean through as did Dylan King a minute later. Clear shots were also had by Joe Wright, Ethan Tanner and Charlie Taylor who hit the bar but the ball would not go in. The Bees defence of Josh Uren, Sam Rowell & Charlie Taylor were rarely troubled and only had to deal with the odd foray that Lyndhurst mustered. (HT 0-0)

After a few changes to the Bees line up the second half the team found it hard to find the same rhythm to their play of the first half and the ball spent much of the time in midfield. Regardless of the fact the Bees were not as effective it still came as a shock when Lyndhurst took the lead from one of their rare attacks. The ball was not cleared from a cross and was lobbed back in over keeper Charlie Anderson who had no chance. To compound things within two minutes Lyndhurst doubled their lead when Charlie Taylor inadvertently deflected the ball past the keeper from a cross. Try as they might the Bees created little else and the game flittered away from them. They now face a tough battle to stay out of the relegation places and must train as hard as they can to turn things around. (FT 0-2)
