Braishfield drew a game which the should have won, but could have lost against physical opponents who had beaten them 3:1 in the reverse fixture

Without 3 key players Braishfield started well and on 5 mins Sam Briggs evaded his marker and his header lacked the power to beat the visitor’s keeper

1min later and Lyndhurst broke through the centre of Braishfield’s defence, but Fin Gardiner rushed out to clear his lines and away from danger

The ensuing 15 mins were even with chances falling to both sides

On 25 mins Cameron Griffiths beat 2 players and from a tight angle he thought he’d scored, only to be adjudged that the ball had gone through a hole in the side netting

2 mins later Griffiths lost his markers again on the right wing and his inch perfect fell to Briggs on his wrong foot and he was unable to make contact with only the keeper to beat

Griffiths broke free again on 30mins, however his shot was well saved by the keeper with his feet

Against the run of play Lyndhurst took the lead on 31 mins when their winger had the beating of Matt Rudd and crossed to their oncoming forward with Alex Jones helpless to clear at the far post to make it 1 nil to the visitors

Braishfield started the 2nd half strongly and on 41 mins Griffiths was put through by Briggs only to be felled in the box. Briggs talk the resultant penalty and calmly slotted home to make it 1apiece

On 50 mins Braishfield deservedly took the lead when Griffiths beat 2 defenders on the left hand wing and his cross eluded the home defence and fell to Billie Baines to tap in from close range

Their lead only lasted for 5 mins when Lyndhurst broke on the right and their strikers cross shot found its way past Gardiner into the corner of the net

Braishfield were still the dominant force with Renato Bergamischi and Jack Gwynne excelling in midfield and with a change in shape playing 3 at the back, they looked to secure victory

On 65 mins Briggs nodded on a Bergamischi throw to Griffiths who scored for an acute angle to make it 3:2

Braishfield sought to close the game out, but with less than 2 mins remaining Gardiner mishandled a cross shot and the oncoming forward slotted home to score and deny Braishfield of their victory
