The Bees first home game of the season was against Lyndhurst. Although very even during the first half Lyndhurst went 2-0 ahead with 2 very good long range shots. The second half saw a spirited fightback from the Bees, a great run down the flank from Victor Hipwell-Lohan with an equally good cut back found James French to scramble home from close range. The Bees were now getting on top with both Jake Brombley and Max Spencer going close. A short corner produced a wonderful shot from Milo Robinson, just going over the bar from a long way out. Just when it looked as if time was running out, Victor went on a driving run through the field and just as he was about to pull the trigger a Lyndhurst defender got a foot to the ball to poke the ball past his goalkeeper for an own goal, to level the match at 2-2. A very good performance from the Bees with Will Wyeth having a good game in goal and Zac Bates, Victor and Charlotte Dowland all having good games in defence, restricting the opposition to very few opportunities on goal. Victor was player of the match showing a lot of composure on the ball both in defence and going forward.
