Johnson side foots home for his 2nd goal

Johnson side foots home for his 2nd goal

Braishfield played their 1st game for 3 weeks when they entertained Lyndhurst at Hunts Farm

Braishfield battered the visitors goal for the first 15 mins with a mixture of great goalkeeping and poor finishing meant that when Lyndhurst were awarded a freekick on the edge of the box on 18 mins there was a feeling that Lyndhurst might snatch a fortunate lead, but the shot was well blocked by the wall

However, on 21 mins  Braishfield finally scored the goal that had been coming when Jacob Phrachai 1 nil fed Will Poulter on the left who crossed first time and Callum Crotty’s side foot volley found its way into the net from close range

It took another 9 mins for Braishfield to finally double the lead when Crotty played a through ball to Will Johnson who took ball down and slipped it past the keeper

Johnson made it 3 nil a couple of mins later when he was played in and rounded the keeper to slot home from an acute angle

Braishfield made a couple of changes shortly after the restart and on 47 mins  a slick one two between Toby Gibson and Sam Brigs made space for Gibson to cross and Briggs headed back to Johnson who beat his man on the edge of the box and shot under the diving keeper to make it a deserved 4 nil scoreline and bag his hat trick

‎Braishfield continue to put pressure on the visitors and on 51 mins they made it 5 nil when Crotty shot from outside the box and the keeper spilled for Briggs to tap in.

2 mins later and there was almost a repeat of the 5th goal when Jack Nicholas’ shot was parried and double saved by a brave Lyndhurst keeper from point blank range off an unfortunate Briggs

On 65 mins Braishfield deservedly made it 6 nil when Phrachai shot following good work by Crotty and the keeper parried only for Briggs poaching instinct to come to the fore for a tap in

Braishfield saved the best for the seventh goal when Phachai collected the ball on corner of the box and hit a stunning shot into the far top corner

‎Braishfield weren’t finished and on 73  mins Phrachai turned provider putting Gibson through on the left who shot across the keeper into the bottom corner of the net to make it 8 nil

2 mins later and Phrachai wraps the scoring up when Phrachai makes it 9 when the  ball came across the  box after good work from Briggs and He bends it into right hand corner of the net

Braishfield visit Lyndhurst for the return match on 5th November hoping for a repeat of the result
