Braishfield Bees Youth FC signed a prestigious Associate Grassroots Partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation in June 2018 – being the 1st club in the UK to enter into such an arrangement with Chelsea FC.
This arrangement continues to allow our coaches and players to experience and benefit from the training methods and experience of a successful Premier League football club.
The Chelsea FC Foundation provides, amongst other things:
- Coaches to support the provision of regular training camps. The Foundation ensure that all coaching staff are supplied to ensure to the coach to player ratios of no greater than 1:16 and all coaches hold an FA Level 2 qualification or higher.
- All necessary football equipment for the activities – including but not limited to, footballs, bibs, mannequins, hurdles and speed ladders.
- Foundation staff member(s) to run an annual Continuing Development event for Braishfield Bees Youth FC coaches tailored to the clubs need based upon the Chelsea Foundation coaches reviewing the Clubs coaches throughout the season to ensure the event delivers a tailored agenda of content.
- Foundation staff member to act as a dedicated Coach Mentor for Braishfield Bees Youth FC coaches. The Coach Mentor will attend Managers/Committee meetings as and when invited and will also attend the compulsory Coaches Safeguarding refresher session at the beginning of every season.
- Complimentary tickets for Chelsea FC Youth team and/or 1st team Ladies fixtures upon request and subject to availability.
- Opportunity for members of Braishfield Bees Youth FC to visit the Foundation training ground at Cobham for a football session or for educational purposes.
- Access to the player pathway activities delivered locally including the Foundationโs Development Centre Training Camps and Residential Camps.
- Support and advice for fundraising – in fact the Foundation have been an ever present at the Clubโs annual September Tournament since 2018.
- Offer players registered to Braishfield Bees Youth FC a discounted rate for local Chelsea FC Soccer Schools.
- Braishfield Bees Youth FC are the only grassroots Club to receive benefits from the Foundation within a 10mile radius.
